The Vietnamese, much like Native Americans, the Maasai and other indigenous groups around the world will use all parts of the animal upon its death to show respect for the contribution the animal made to their life. No animals are killed to make these purses. The water buffalo died a natural death as they are highly prized assets in the rural communities of Vietnam.
